Class Organisation
The school is a state maintained primary school. The children range in age from 4 to 11 and are organised into three phases of education within the school.
Phase 1 = Foundation Stage. Children join our reception class at the age of 4. By the end of their Reception year children have completed their ‘Foundation Stage’.
Phase 2 = Key Stage 1, covering Years 1 and 2. Children finish Key Stage 1 at the age of 7 by completing their end of Key Stage Assessments (KS1 SATS).
Phase 3 = Key Stage 2, covering Years 3, 4, 5 and 6. At the end of this phase, further assessments are made (KS2 SATS).
Within these three phases are 3 class bases:
Willow - Reception , Year 1 & 2
Maple - Year 3 & 4
Oak - Year 5 & 6
