Westwood's Measure of Success
We don't rely on government statistics to know we are doing a good job. The advantage of a small school community means we know our pupils individually, and we are confident in our ability to respond to their changing needs. Their expressions, responses and smiles are how we rate our performance on a daily basis. Ofsted (2011) notes our attendance rates are above average.
We also work hard to ensure our pupils are prepared for the move to 'big' school. We consider a smooth, and confident transition a measure of our success. Many of our year 7s return to spend a day with us when their school is closed for teacher training.
