Online Safety and Remote Learning during Covid-19
When working remotely, we have established clear procedures and set up activities that will enable children to remain safe online when carrying out their directed tasks. As a school we will not be live streaming lessons. Instead, a comprehensive programme of continuous provision utilising existing safe school platforms will be used . Children are familiar with these and have been taught how to use them safely and securely.
We will continue to follow our related school policies linked to online safety and social media, as well as the latest DfE guidance for safeguarding and remote education during the Covid-19 crisis.

Online Safety & Digital Literacy
Online Safety is an issue which affects us all . Keeping our children safe, whether it be in the real world or the online, digital world will always remain a priority. Below you will find a range of parent resources which we have shared at many of our parent's meetings. This is an issue which is ever changing and we will be revisiting it regularly, so please keep checking the calendar for meeting dates and times.
Digital literacy is the ability to find, evaluate, utilize, share, and create content using information technologies and the Internet. It is an important entitlement for all young people in an increasingly digital culture. It furnishes children and young people with the skills, knowledge and understanding that will help them to take a full and active part in social, cultural, economic, civic and intellectual life now and in the future. To be digitally literate is to have access to a broad range of practices and cultural resources that you are able to apply to digital tools. It is the ability to make and share meaning in different modes and formats; to create, collaborate and communicate effectively and to understand how and when digital technologies can best be used to support these processes.
Here are some resources to support you when helping your children at home.

As a school we are excited to be using GoBubble, a fantastic online resource and app for teaching children how to use social media safely. All users are verified, content is moderated and children can only chat with children at our school or of the same age at other schools.
Here is a parent overview of GoBubble that was presented at our recent Parent Online Safety Meeting.
