Pupil Premium Funding & Allocation
The Government have allocated a significant amount of money to schools across the country to support specific groups of children who are vulnerable to possible underachievement. These include pupils who are entitled to free school meals (or who have been entitled at some point over the last six years), those children looked after by the local authority and the children of armed service personnel.
All schools are free to choose the best way to allocate this money to address the specific needs of their school, their children and families. However all schools are required to report the amount of money that they have been allocated and how this money is being spent

- To purchase Numicon maths resources to support delivery of maths interventions so that children can visualise number more easily.
Total spent on staffing for interventions and support :£2760

The Pupil Premium Grant, 2014/15
In the academic year 2014/15, we had 2.1% of our children who are eligible for the PPG (Pupil Premium Grant). Our allocation of PPG is £3,900.
Based on the positive impact of the provisions we made in the academic year 2013/14, the Governors have decided to spend the PPG for 2014/15 in the same way as last year, with intervention groups being targeted more closely through funding TA support, which will be monitored rigorously for impact.
All our work, through pupil premium, will be aimed to actively seek to promote the welfare of our most vulnerable children aiming to accelerate progress and move children to at least age-related expectations, initially this will be in Literacy and Numeracy.

We use this money to subsidise some educational visits and extra curricular activities, such as music. For some children this has a huge impact on their self-esteem and confidence. All matters regarding the use of Pupil Premium funds are treated with discretion and in confidence.
As a Primary School, we are not in receipt of Year 7 catch-up Premium.
