Our School Day

At our school, we believe that a calm and positive start sets the tone for a successful day of learning.

Our classroom doors open at 8:40am, and registers close at 8:50am. We encourage all children to arrive on time to make the most of our Soft Start.

The Soft Start offers a gentle and welcoming beginning to the day. Children are greeted warmly by staff and can choose from a range of calming activities such as mindful colouring, reading, puzzles, or chatting with friends. This time helps pupils settle in, regulate their emotions, and get ready to learn. It also allows teachers to check in with each child and offer any support they may need. Our Soft Start is a key part of our commitment to promoting positive mental health and creating a nurturing, inclusive environment where every child feels safe, valued, and ready to thrive.

We enjoy a 15-minute morning break, where all children come together for outdoor play, encouraging social interaction and physical activity.

Lunchtime is from 12:10pm to 1:10pm. Children eat together in the school hall, with the option of bringing a packed lunch or enjoying a hot meal provided by our caterers, Aspens. Then they enjoy a 30 minute breaktime outside together.

The school day finishes at 3:20pm, with children collected from their classrooms by parents or carers.
